Cooking Lessons

This can be done as a two hour cooking class or as one day experience.
In a cooking class, participants typically learn to cook a selection of dishes. The experience of cooking unfolds amidst lively discussions about the condiments and spices, nutrition, and balancing of taste and textures, that go into preparing a tasty Indian vegetarian meal.
Pottery Workshop

This is offered on the Savista premises itself with a traditional hereditary village potter in attendance. It involves learning the age-old craft using methods that have remained unchanged for centuries.
It is a roughly three-hour class. Those wishing to have this experience would need to book well in advance of their arrival
Lac Bangle Workshop

The Lac Bangle workshop brings participants up close to the people, raw materials and techniques of this traditional ornamental craft of Rajasthan which is so central to Rajasthan’s culture and so visible on the wrists of local women – rich and poor alike – even today. It also offers participants the opportunity to craft their own bangle ( or bangles, if you are the ambitious sort) as a take-home souvenir. Guided by hereditary skilled artisans who still use the age-old methods of their ancestors, you will learn the art of melting, shaping and decorating your bangle over a simple stove.
Culinary Retreat

Our Culinary Retreat at Savista offers a unique, hands-on cooking experience focused on fresh, organic, farm-to-table meals. Learn to prepare delicious Indian dishes using seasonal ingredients straight from our garden.
