DINING
Nothing reveals the diversity in Indian
culture better than the diversity of its cuisine. The
northern Indian breads - chapatti, phulka, roomali,
tandoori, naan, paratha - are unique in themselves.
'Rice tables' from southern India offer a heady and
delicately spiced range. And the variety of vegetarian
dishes in Indian cuisine must surely be the widest in the
world. The food at Savista - we serve both vegetarian and
non-vegetarian food - is a blend of the various regional
cuisines of the country and Western dishes. The stress is
on offering fresh, fragrant, lightly-spiced and healthy
food that is carefully prepared and lovingly served.
The
meals are usually laid out as buffets. Breakfast is
generally outdoors, set in a grove of trees alive with
bird-song. Lunch and dinner are served both al-fresco and
indoors.
We are happy to accommodate guests'
food allergies, dietary restrictions and preferences.
Please let us know of these in advance, or discuss them
with our chef once you get here.
The prices
range from USD 7 to USD 15, depending on the meal of day.
The
bar (operational from October 2007) with its crackling
fireplace and cozy seating extends into the airy baradari
(pergola), and offers its own invitation to unwind and
relax. Among other things it offers a selection of
heritage liqueurs of Rajasthan.
